still nothing much to post here even when i do get the chance, I'm here to collect Dimitri to come and stay at my place for the night, Wednesday is a holiday here in france to remember the dead of the first world war so the normal things he does on weds are cancelled, ( no school here on weds anyway), meantime here is a new song i wrote,
yesterday as today the sun is shining and its nice and mild so i took a little walk in a nearby forest, i think it was about 5 kilometers and by the end i was glad to get back to the car for a sit down, here a few shots
Hi all, just a quick update, I'm still stumbling along with the steam powered comp and only getting to xanga when i'm at the kids place, weathers turned cold, north wind and rain here although there is snow forecast just over the border in the Black Forest, I'm a bit miffed with the band situation as there seems to be a certain amount of politics creeping in, i dont mean who they voted for, i mean one member wants to get another drummer and has put out an add to look for one and no one has said anything to the present one! i heard the whisper last saturday , last night i decided that i had to say something to him so i filled him in on the situation, i'm feeling that if he goes i shall have to as well, still we shall see, Yoann (the drummer) and i have decided to play it cool tomorrow at rehearsal and see what happens, i wonder if i "got to hear about all this" because the others know we live close to eachother and i was bound to spill the beans saving them the trouble, anyway it just can't feel the same for me now, shame,shame,shame.
Well as you all know i am unable to get on xanga from home so i cam ove rto the kids house to upload some films, i was just going to pop to the shops when i lost all the gears in my car, i had third and forth but thats all, i hate to think what i did to the clutch turning around in third gear! i got back to the kids house and started to investigate and a piece of linkage fell off in my hand, i climbed out from under the car and found a petrol leak as well! as luck would have it there is a citroen BX fan living in the same village so i went to see him and after a lot of back and forth and "bricolage" we "made up the pice for the gear linkage that had simply worn out and did some fancy french plumbing to replace a plastic "T" piece that had split in the petrol line, it really is some parts for water pipe so i'll have to try and find the correct "T" piece soon, anyway this has taken all afternoon and i got nicely stung by nettles climbing under the other persons car in his garden!
Anyway this is why i'm here , to post these films from last week ends opening of the maison du nature in Muttersholtz, a village just down the road from here, the musique manouche from sat night is the local group "Winterstien" and the two lovely ladies playing cello's on sunday afternoon are "Caminata"
I have tried to get around most of you this afternoon, to anyone i missed sorry time and nerves just ran out, happy week end to you all
